What “PCMFlash Toyota” Means for Your Workshop

When technicians search for PCMFlash Toyota, they want a dependable way to read and write Toyota and Lexus engine (ECU) and transmission (TCU) units for chip tuning, DPF/EGR OFF solutions, or ECU cloning and repair. ECUpacket is a PCMFlash-based ECU/TCU programmer: it is built on the PCMFlash platform and uses the very same module system, so the Toyota coverage you expect from PCMFlash is exactly what you get with ECUpacket.

It also keeps PCMFlash’s three flexible working modes — OBD, Bench and Boot — so you can choose the safest route for each Toyota job.

Toyota and Lexus Coverage in ECUpacket (PCMFlash Modules)

ECUpacket organizes Toyota, Lexus, Scion and Hino support into dedicated PCMFlash-style modules. The coverage below is taken directly from the ECUpacket support list.

Module 35 – Toyota/Lexus/Scion/Hino (1st Generation)

Covers early 76F00xx-family ECUs over CAN-bus and K-Line, along with gearbox and hybrid (HV) control units. Operations: reading, writing and checksum correction.

Modules 46 and 49 – Toyota/Lexus/Scion/Hino (2nd Generation)

Handles the 76F0196/198/199/219 ECUs over CAN-bus and P5-CAN-bus, including the 76F0199 gearbox. Module 49 adds matching bootloader access for the ECU, gearbox and HV control. Operations: reading, writing and checksum correction.

Module 74 – Toyota/Lexus Gen 3 (P5-UDS)

This is the module most PCMFlash Toyota users rely on today. It works with R7F701202 and R7F701216 MCUs over P5-UDS and covers popular models such as:

Operations: reading, writing and checksum correction.

Module 95 – Toyota/Lexus Gen 4 (P5-UDS)

The newest module covers Gen 4 platforms such as Land Cruiser 300, LX600 and Tundra 3.5T (V35A-FTS), LS500, NX350, RX350 and Highlander 2.0T/2.4T (T24A-FTS), LC250 2.7L/2.8TD, and RX450h, Camry, Corolla and Vellfire 2.0L/2.5L hybrids, running on R7F702002 and R7F701216 MCUs. Note that Gen 4 currently supports reading and writing only — no checksum correction is applied on these ECUs.

Denso and Aisin Bootloaders for Bench and Boot Work

For bench and boot jobs, ECUpacket also includes the Denso SH705X (Module 42) and Denso SH725XX/1N83M (Module 80) bootloaders, plus the Aisin TCU bootloader (Module 94) for R7F701204/R7F701215/R7F701216 transmission units. Some of these operations require a direct connection to the ECU.

OBD, Bench or Boot: Choosing the Right Mode for Toyota

As with PCMFlash, ECUpacket lets you pick the safest access method for each job:

Hardware: J2534 Devices That Work with ECUpacket

ECUpacket keeps the open-hardware approach of PCMFlash and runs with mainstream J2534 pass-through devices, including Scanmatik 2, SM2 Pro, SM3, PCMtool and Tactrix Openport 2.0. Most workshops can begin Toyota programming with hardware they already own.

Why ECUpacket Is a Smart Choice for PCMFlash Toyota Work

Because ECUpacket is built on the PCMFlash platform, you get proven, professional-grade read/write stability on Toyota and Lexus ECUs. It ships as a one-time purchase with no annual fees, and its catalogue of nearly 100 software modules covers over 70% of mainstream vehicles worldwide, including EU, US, Japanese, Korean and Chinese brands — so Toyota is only the beginning.
